Free Crochet Amigurumi Valentine’s Day Cats Pattern Leo and Charlotte

Valentine’s Day is coming up quick so I wanted to make a cat for this holiday! This time, I decided to make them smaller and to make a pair of them! They are small enough that they will work up quick for a great last minute gift or Valentine decoration! Also, I gave them names, (which was REALLY fun!) Meet Leo and Charlotte!

I hope you enjoy making these as much as I did! If you would like a printable PDF version of the pattern, you can purchase one in my Etsy shop here: PDF Pattern Crochet Valentine Amigurumi Cats Leo and Charlotte. Without further adieu, here is the pattern!

Materials:
1. 3.5mm crochet hook
2. 2.75mm crochet hook
3. Worsted weight yarn in white (Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice in white)
4. Light weight yarn in light pink and dark pink (Bernat Softee Baby in pink and soft red)
5. Size 10 crochet thread in red (Aunt Lydia’s Crochet Thread Classic 10 in victory red)
6. 4.5 mm animal safety eyes
7. Pink embroidery floss
8. Black embroidery floss
9. Needle
10. Doll stuffing
11. Heart button
12. Stitch markers
Stitches Used:
• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• 2sc = make two single crochet stitches into the same stitch (an increasing stitch)

• sc2tog= single crochet 2 stitches together, a decreasing stitch
I like to use an invisible sc2tog stitch. To do this, insert hook into the front loop only of next two stitches (3 loops on hook), yarn over and draw through two loops on hook (2 loops left on hook), yarn over and draw through last two loops on hook.

• dc = double crochet
• ss = slip stitch
• st(s) = stitch(es)
• mc= magic circle
NOTES:
The pattern is worked in rounds. There is no joining at the end of every round, you will be working in a continuous spiral. A stitch marker is very helpful to aid in keeping your place!

The head and body are one piece, no sewing, yay!

2sc means to put two single crochet stitches into the next stitch.
Sc 2 means you will be putting one single crochet stitch into each of the next 2 stitches.

The cats measure just over 3 inches tall. The ears and tail are very small and are easier to make with a lightweight yarn. But, you can experiment with hook sizes and colors to make your own custom cats! Have fun and let your imagination guide you!
